King Suren sets out alone and marches his army in formation across the field to King Ogreth’s castle, freeing soldiers on the way — Kōji Sumii’s game from the Sharp X1, one of the roots of the strategy RPG, and five tunes.

Nothing here was transcribed by ear: every note was read out of the cartridge and is played by an emulated NES sound chip — its two pulse waves, the only voices this music uses, each on a keyboard of its own.

The music and the game belong to their composers and publishers; this site only shows how the cartridge plays it, for learning.
